Homeschool kids are succeeding in college, so much so that colleges are actively recruiting them.
It totally depends on the quality of the education received at home or at school.
-- Posted By mama_k on December 7, 2007In normal public high schools, its very common to be surrounded by drugs, sex, and violence. . unless you chooses to live this kind of live, there's no reason to deal with these things. These distractions hardly prepare you for college or the real world. Home schooling (unless the parent is crazy) doesn't have these things.

-- Posted By Rocky-Mt-High on September 17, 2007Home schoolers have the added benefit of learning subjects that interest them and they also have the benefit of being self starters. Home schooled children learn early on that they are responsible for their education. Because of this they work harder. and try harder. What college wouldn't want a student like that?
Homeschool kids haven't had the benefit of licensed teachers so they don't have the educational back
Sure children educated at home have a chance at college EDUCATION, but maybe not at college LIFE.
