Is it too oldfashioned to expect the man to pay on a date?
Some believe that the man should always pay, but others say now that women are in the workforce and share equal salaries that they should pay at least half the time.

Good manners are never oldfashioned. The man should always pay for dates when he askes a woman out.
Actually, I think whoever asks for the date should pay for the date.

If the man is trying to impress the girl than getting the tab is definitely a better start than letting HER get it. It shows her that he is WILLING to be the gentleman. .
