By guaranteeing free healthcare and better wages for low-income persons, a democratic socialist society more efficiently provides for all citizens. And because health care is so intimately tied to our economy, socializing it will lead to the fall of the American markets. Free health care that dictates how many doctors my practice in an area, as some are proposing, is as foolish as free legal care that dictates how many lawyers may practice law in an area. Socialism is an ideology of control, failure and regression.
