Take marriage out of the government's hands
I always thought that it was silly to put a legal binding document on an emotional bond.

What about homosexuals or people that are just ugly and can't ever get married?. Besides, there are too many divorces in this day and age anyway. I don't see the logic in saying that you feel a certain way for the rest of your life (people change constantly) and being legally bound to that statement.
